Servicing:
A Solar Thermal system needs to have an annual service in much the same way that any boiler should does. The transfer fluid needs to be checked annually by an approved installer. Additionally, the system needs to be completely flushed out and the transfer fluid replaced every 5 years. Annual maintenance will also ensure that peak efficiency is achieved over the life of the system.
Warranty:
Flat plate panels tend to come with a 5 year parts and 10 year performance warranty. Evacuated Tubes come with a 5 year parts and 20 year performance guarantee. However, both guarantees will be dependent on regular servicing of the system by an approved installer.
